Oak Leaf Disease

Posted by Nika On August - 29 - 2011

Can you ID what this is? mostly impacting our oaks (severely) – adjacent non-oak trees much less affected.

I have many theories but none of the oak diseases fit well into our symptoms.

Here are some more photos.

  1. I don’t know what it is, but I’m curious because we’ve got a nearly identical problem. It’s been back three years in a row, getting progressively worse and will kill the tree in a couple of years at this rate.

I’ve been treating it as if it’s anthracnose, but the tree is not recovering after several years of careful leaf litter removal.

What did you learn about yours?
